The presented telescope consists of three draw tubes. The middle tube is equipped with a screw that allows for focus adjustment. The telescope’s objective lens has a diameter of 8 cm (approximately 3.15 inches). The image observed through the telescope is upright (i.e., not inverted).
Adam Prażmowski (1821–1886) was one of the most prominent Polish astronomers of the 19th century. He also conducted research on terrestrial magnetism and performed meteorological and triangulation measurements. Prażmowski worked at the Warsaw Observatory and was later elected as the director of the Pulkovo Observatory. He also participated in numerous scientific expeditions.
