Nervous System

The nervous system is responsible for coordinating all bodily activities, ranging from conscious movements to automatic functions such as breathing and digestion. It is divided into two main parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord. The brain, located within the skull, serves as the control center for thoughts, emotions, memory, and sensory processes. The spinal cord, protected by the vertebral column, transmits signals between the brain and the rest of the body.
