Eukaryotic Cell

The eukaryotic cell is a type of cell found in eukaryotic organisms, which include plants, animals, fungi, and protists. It is characterized by the presence of a well-defined nucleus that houses the genetic material in the form of chromosomes, enclosed by a nuclear membrane. Additionally, eukaryotic cells possess membrane-bound organelles such as mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex, and lysosomes, which perform specific functions within the cell. The presence of these organelles allows for greater structural and functional complexity compared to prokaryotic cells, such as bacteria, and is one of the distinctive features of eukaryotic organisms.
